Refund Transfer (RT)

The most cost effective but still quick way of receiving your money based on
your federal tax refund, the RT is a great option.  Your money is available in
one to two weeks**, and is the most preferred method by taxpayers!  Once
the IRS accepts your electronically filed tax return, a temporary account is
established at SBBT.  When the IRS deposits your refund into your account
at SBBT, your refund amount is paid to you (after preparation and bank fees
are deducted).

**The IRS may delay your refund for some reason, if this happens, you should contact them directly by calling the
IRS Tele-Tax (800) 829-4477, or the IRS Taxpayer Assistance Line (800) 829-1040.

Two options to receive your
money!!!!

1.  Cashier’s Check

Once the RAL is approved or IRS funding occurs (for RTs), a cashiers
check is made available to you.  This is the fastest method of receiving
your refund amount.

2.
Direct Deposit

Payment may be sent directly to your checking or savings account via
the ACH Direct Deposit method.  It may take an additional 1 to 2
business days after SBBT disburses your money for funds to reach
your bank account.
